The Signature Experience

A sushi party at home, start to finish.

This is the experience our guests talk about for weeks. We transform your kitchen island into a sushi counter, walk everyone through technique, knife work, and plating, then send out a chef-finished course that looks straight off a tasting menu.

  • Restaurant-grade fish and ingredients, sourced fresh for your date
  • Hands-on guided rolling for every guest, no experience needed
  • A chef-plated specialty course to close the evening
  • Optional sake and cocktail pairings from our private bartender
  • All tools, setup, and cleanup handled by Room 32

How The Night Runs

From first roll to final plate.

01

We set the counter

Your kitchen island becomes a sushi counter — mats, boards, knives, seasoned rice, and every component prepped and laid out before guests sit down.

02

Technique, then hands-on

Chef Asa demonstrates rice handling, knife work, and rolling, then every guest rolls their own with coaching over the shoulder.

03

Roll, taste, repeat

Classic maki, inside-out rolls, and nigiri as the table gets confident. Cooked, vegetarian, and kid-friendly options run alongside the raw fish.

04

A chef-plated finale

We close with a chef-finished specialty course — torched salmon, tobiko, microgreens — plated the way it would arrive on a tasting menu.

Questions

Before you book.

Do we need any sushi experience?
None. Most guests have never rolled before. Chef Asa walks the table through rice, knife work, and rolling technique step by step, and the first roll usually lands better than anyone expects.
How many guests can join a sushi making class?
The experience works best for roughly 4 to 14 guests around a kitchen island or dining table. Larger sushi parties are possible — tell us your headcount and we will tell you honestly what the room can hold.
What do you bring, and what do we need?
We bring restaurant-grade fish and ingredients, rice, mats, knives, boards, and all setup. You provide the counter space and the guests. We clean the kitchen before we leave.
Can you handle allergies, kids, or non-raw options?
Yes. Cooked, vegetarian, and kid-friendly rolls are built into the menu whenever you need them, and allergies are designed in from the first draft of the menu.
How long does the evening take?
Plan on about two to three hours from setup to the chef-plated closing course, depending on guest count and whether you add sake or cocktail pairings.
